David Pope’s series South Coast Calling is continuing to make a difference in the wake of the 2019-2020 summer of bushfires. The Canberra Times’ much-loved cartoonist’s series of prints depicting the South Coast and beyond is continuing to raise money to support local communities get back on their feet in the wake of the disaster. The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal Fund is administering the money, with the latest a $16,000 grant to the Bega Valley Meals on Wheels to purchase a mobile freezer unit.
