A reenergized Hurricane Zeta is taking aim at the U.S. Gulf Coast on Wednesday and is expected to become even stronger before it makes landfall in Louisiana.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said that Zeta is packing maximum sustained winds of 90 mph and is located about 265 miles south of the Mississippi River, moving north-northwest at 17 mph. The latest advisory from the NHC notes that an Air Force “Hurricane Hunter” aircraft finds that Zeta is growing stronger.
