The Bledisloe Cup will remain with New Zealand for at least another year after the All Blacks thrashed the Wallabies 43-5 in the Tri Nations opener at Sydney’s Olympic stadium.
The Wallabies had their backs to the wall for much of the match, having conceded four tries in the first half as the All Blacks skipped out to a 26-0 lead at the break.
Noah Lolesio did open the Wallabies’ account early in the second half with a try on debut, but the All Blacks added another two five-pointers to their tally to run out comfortable victors.
The All Blacks have held the Bledisloe Cup since 2003.
The two sides meet again in Brisbane next Saturday night.
More to come.
