A man is in custody and a section of a town west of Ipswich has been placed into lockdown by specialist police after a man fired “several shots” at officers on Sunday morning.
Police made an emergency declaration about 11.45am after visiting a rural property on Kingsley Street, Walloon, to conduct a welfare check on a man almost nine hours earlier.
