“A big part of our role over the next few months is to give people that confidence,” she said.

The Victorian government announced on Monday a $17.2 million package to help build outdoor COVID-safe venues and fill them with a summer of art, music and entertainment.

The money will go to organisations including Museums Victoria, whose Summer Plaza series will include performances, movies and other programs, and the NGV which will turn its garden into an oasis of food, drink, music and art to coincide with the massive Triennial exhibition due to open next month.
