Former Essendon great Scott Lucas, who is now a player manager, has told Trade Radio that Geelong’s Esava Ratugolea won’t be part of any deal to send Jeremy Cameron to the Cats with no players wanting to move from Geelong to the Giants.
The Cats offered two first-round picks to the Giants and were hoping for a sweetener back in exchange for Cameron, but Greater Western Sydney has held firm.
Meanwhile, Geelong have had discussions with Essendon about moving up the draft order to gain a top 10 pick for one of those picks but neither party has moved yet.
Lucas, who runs Phoenix Management, also confirmed that the contracted Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti would be at Essendon next season and not tied up in any deal for Josh Dunkley, who has requested a trade to Essendon with two years left to run on his contract.
