Police have charged a 52-year-old man with endangering life and possessing an unlicensed firearm following an eleven-hour siege in Margaret River on Sunday night.
A police spokesman said multiple shots were fired from a home on McKeown Place with the accused man holed up inside.
“About 5:30pm St John Ambulance personnel attended a residence on McKeown Place in relation to a male person needing medical assistance,” he said.
“Upon arrival at the residence the attending personnel heard a firearm being discharged within the residence and retreated to safety, along with other occupants of the residence.”
