“Have any Seinfeld fans noticed the resemblance between President Trump’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, and Jerry’s Uncle Leo?” asks Ted Richards of Batemans Bay. “Not only do they look alike (has anyone seen them both in the same room?) but both Rudy and Leo’s behaviour has been a bit iffy. Leo did a bit of small-time shoplifting and also welched on paying his sister her share of a winning bet.” Ted’s ahead of the game here. Since he sent this in, social media denizens have been asking the same question. Just don’t tell them actor Len Lesser left us in 2011.

While Peter Miniutti of Ashbury thinks: “With the state government’s failure to address deteriorating writing standards in schools, Dominic Pudney’s (C8) record is probably safe for some time.” Others are not so sure. John Rand of Belrose, showing more acumen than Granny, came up with multiple kid hits: “I think age may be catching up at 73 and your memory is playing tricks on you. In answer to the challenge – we have a Beth Thorne, also aged 10, appearing on 12 May, 1953. There have been numerous other children’s appearances, some as young as seven, but I feel that the parents may be the contributors and not the kids. My favourite is Brian, aged 7, appearing on August 3, 1949.”

Don Bain of Port Macquarie may have found a loophole: “My wife reckons my second childhood began about 2012, which makes me eight – so yah, sucks, boo, Dominic!” That’s waaay too grown-up for an eight-year-old.

“As we are writing about our least favourite (read ‘most obnoxious’) words (C8), my vote goes to ‘inking’, as in ‘inking a contract’. ‘Signing’ a contract is what really happens, isn’t it?” asks Brian Pymont of Frenchs Forest.

Granny goes noticeboard. This urgent request for assistance comes from Jane Ellis of Cremorne: “Last night, I threw out what I thought was a box of old trophies … big mistake! The trophies are needed and relate to deaf golf in Australia. Please, if someone collected a box of trophies in Milson Road, Cremorne Point, please contact Granny.” And we’ll give you Jane’s details.
