AFL star Brad Crouch has sold his Kidman Park home at auction.

The 2020 AFL season might be over but that hasn’t stopped former Adelaide Crow Brad Crouch from kicking goals off-field.

The midfielder has sold his Kidman Park home at auction, just weeks after his highly publicised move to Victoria to play for St Kilda next year was announced.

The four-bedroom house at 4 Sydney Avenue was snapped up under the hammer for $647,500 on Saturday afternoon.

Ray White Henley Beach principal Anthony Fahey, who marketed the property with Samuel Parsons, said six registered bidders vied for the keys to the house.

“Bidding started at $600,000,” he said.

“A young first-home buyer looking to move in at some point or redevelop it bought it.”

He said Crouch was “pretty happy” with the result.

Crouch, who is from Ballarat and made his Adelaide debut in 2013, bought the home about five years ago attracted to its size, location and potential.

“It’s 730sqm and I’ve loved how big it is,” he said earlier this month.

“Its location between the city and the sea is great. I was about a five-minute drive to the footy club, so it was the perfect location for me.”

He and partner Brittany Kennedy renovated the kitchen, bathrooms and two rear rooms to transform it into an entertainer’s delight, which his teammates have also enjoyed over the years.

“We’ve had heaps of different parties over the years and had a heap of the players around,” he said.

“It really is an entertainer’s house.”
