Mon Komo Hotel, at Redcliffe, is closed until February while the new owners give the place a major upgrade. Lewis Land Group who also operate The Belvedere Hotel at Woody Point, purchased the waterfront venue in November last year.
In November it announced the venue would be closed until February so that major upgrades could take place.

Works have already started, with the outdoor dining area being completely ripped up. Lewis Land Group’s Queensland Regional Manager Chris Allison told the Herald in November, the venue had not undergone any upgrades since it opened in 2011.“The Group officially took over the site five weeks ago and we are looking forward to giving it the revival it deserves,” Mr Allison said.KP Architects, based in Brisbane, are behind the design.

It is understood the upgrade will include a new dining concept with a charcoal rotisserie and a new outdoor dining area. Mr Allison said the reopening would create more jobs in order to service all areas of the venue.
