New South Wales has recorded zero locally-acquired coronavirus cases.
It comes after the state on Sunday recorded six new cases, all in the Berala area.
The latest results on Monday come from 8,773 tests in the 24 hours leading up to 8pm on Sunday, one of the lowest testing days recorded in recent months.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, who did not hold a press conference on Monday morning, on Sunday urged more people in Sydney and across New South Wales to come out and get tested.
She said that testing rates needed to be above 20,000 per day.
Ms Berejiklian said low testing rates could prevent the government from relaxing mask-wearing rules and gathering limits currently in place in Sydney.
People in Australia must stay at least 1.5 metres away from others. Check your jurisdiction’s restrictions on gathering limits. If you are experiencing cold or flu symptoms, stay home and arrange a test by calling your doctor or contact the Coronavirus Health Information Hotline on 1800 020 080.
