A woman has asked people on TikTok what the current trends are on pubic hair, asking “Are bald coochies still in?”
Trends come and go, but thin eyebrows and bald fannies will stay with you forever.
If you’re in your thirties or *gasp* are a fellow quadragenarian, how do you know that the way you’ve been manicuring your downstairs hedge isn’t now considered just as “old fashioned” as your side part?

Pubic hair maintenance
Thankfully, one woman has turned to the internet for answers to this extremely important question, and while the answers still remains a mystery, we had a lot of laughs reading through the comments.
“Are bald coochies still in?” asks Leah Van Laanen on TikTok.
“This is a question for my ladies,” she says.
“From like a fashion standpoint, what are we doing with pubes these days?”
Leah says she’s recently realised she’s been doing the same thing since the 2000s when we would just “shave it right off,” but she wonders if trends have changed since then.
“Has it changed? Is it the same?” she asks, adding, “Lemme know.”
Low maintenance grooming
There were plenty of ideas that didn’t involve a lot of work in this area.
“Pandemic. Single,” commented one person, “It’s 1975 over here.”
“When my partner is done he shouts Jumanji to leave the jungle,” added another.
One confessed she had tripped over hers running to read the comments and another was shocked this was even a question.
“Wait! We were supposed to do something?” they asked, “I tuck mine into the legs of my jeans… that’s not normal?”
And one woman has the perfect low maintenance option with the ‘girl next door’ vibe: “I put mine in a messy bun at night so that it’s curly in the morning.”

High maintenance lady garden
On the other end of the scale, we saw some very high maintenance grooming routines.
One person reported to have a mullet-style muff: “Business in the front, party in the back to keep it interesting.”
“I put a relaxer on mine,” added another. “I wear it straight with a bow. It’s fancy like a Maltese.”
We had some input from a gay woman: “Being a lesbian, I like to shave it into a plaid like pattern. We’re really committed to flannel.”
And some committed to sparkling at all costs: “I still have my Christmas decorations down there.”
“I dazzle it with glitter, lots of glitter,” said one woman, “so when I vart, it flies off like magical fairy dust.”
Nice!
Considerate groomers
And of all the groups of people, we like the considerate groomers the most. Those who put their own needs and comfort aside for the sake of others.
“I grow it out and donate it to men who can’t grow beards,” said one generous woman.
Another added, “I’ve really been digging pigtails lately. Give your partner something to hold on to.”
And someone even brought education into the same conversation as pubic hair: “I prefer the ‘Montessori’ approach to my ‘down there’. Let the hairs decide what they want to do and when.”
