Kyrgios vs Thiem on John Cain Arena. Let’s do it!
This is an intriguing match-up for so many reasons, but chief among them is that these two are just beastly talents.
Dominic Thiem pushed Novak Djokovic to the brink in last year’s Australian Open final and is just a couple of months removed from his maiden major title at last year’s US Open.
Kyrgios, meanwhile, is … well … Nick Kyrgios. He’s capable of freakish performances at both ends of the spectrum and the tide can change from set to set, game to game. Hell, even from point to point.
They’re also facing off on John Cain arena, which we know Kyrgios loves. And it’ll be probably be his last chance to tap into the crowd atmosphere he loves so much, with Victoria going into lockdown and no fans allowed for at least five days after tonight.
