The Tigers have not won a single game since entering the AFLW. Could that change against West Coast on Sunday? See the full Round 3 fixture.

The AFL has released its reworked fixture for the third round of the AFLW season as it continues to grapple with COVID-related restrictions.

The round will see West Australian teams travel for the first time this year, while Collingwood will also be on the road, heading north to face Brisbane at Hickey Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Lions-Magpies clash will be one of the must-see matches of the weekend, with both teams currently undefeated.

Carlton – an early 2021 premiership contender – is still searching for its first win of the year and will need to beat St Kilda on Saturday afternoon to keep its season on track.

Richmond, meanwhile, could be in line to record the very first win in the club’s AFLW history when it faces West Coast on Sunday at home at Swinburne Centre from 5.10pm.

Another contender for match of the round will be between undefeated side Adelaide and Fremantle – ranked third and fifth, respectively, on the ladder by percentage – when they face off at Norwood Oval on Sunday.

Geelong will host the Western Bulldogs to open the round on Friday night, while Melbourne and North Melbourne will face off at Casey Fields on Saturday.

The AFL has already been forced into rewriting its Round 2 fixture twice as it grappled with COVID outbreaks in both Perth and Melbourne and the subsequent border restrictions, and head of women’s footy Nicole Livingstone said the league would continue to take the advice of governments and health officials as it worked through fixtures for upcoming rounds.

“These continue to be unprecedented times and the fixture this year will continue to respond to and reflect the situation across country,” she said.

“We will continue to remain as adaptable as we listen to and work closely with each stakeholder to ensure the best possible outcome for everyone in the game.

“While COVID-19 continues to impact the community, the health and welfare of our players and the community remains the priority and we remain committed to delivering a full season in a safe manner anchored in the advice of respective governments, public health officials and medical experts.”

Crowds will be in attendance unless otherwise advised.

Tickets to GMHBA Stadium will go on sale for home members from 12pm AEDT on Thursday, February 11.

On-sale for the general public commences at 1pm AEDT.

Tickets to all other AFLW matches listed above will go on sale for home members from 10am locally, Friday February 12.

On-sale for the general public commences at 11am local time.
