Queensland authorities are scrambling to identify exposure sites after a doctor at a Brisbane hospital tested positive for COVID-19.

The doctor had been treating a patient with the highly contagious UK variant.

Princess Alexandra Hospital remains in lockdown as genomic testing gets underway and staff have been notified the risk is “moderate”.

Authorities are calling for anyone with COVID symptoms to be tested.
