Mohammed Eimal Zarshoy is alleged to have been in possession of a makeshift shiv when he threatened another prisoner who was on the phone at Lithgow jail on October 10.

On Wednesday morning NSW Police charged Zarshoy with affray and intent to inflict bodily harm and he was refused bail to appear in Parramatta court on Thursday.Zarshoy, 29, spent a week on the run before he handed himself in to police and was charged with the murder of 44-year-old Robert Atkinson at Wentworthville on June 29.Mr Atkinson was allegedly shot in the leg at his Jones St home about 7pm and died at the scene.Zarshoy has since been transferred to Parklea prison.
