Should Stuart Broad have been included in Test team of the decade?

So, after some significant baiting by Dean, I decided to look into the figures as to why Stuart Broad should be included.

Overall, in the last 10 years, he has taken 415 wickets at 25.84. Not too shabby.

He is, as you’d expect, brilliant in English conditions, taking 279 wickets across 65 Tests at 24.23.

That average balloons a bit away from home, 38 Tests, 116 wickets at 30.25.

In the 25 Ashes Tests he’s played in the last decade, he has taken 98 wickets at 28.15, but when you only include the 10 matches in Australia, he has just 32 wickets at 34.46.

In the 2017/18 series, he was poor, taking 11 wickets at a whopping 47.72, so Dean, you’re right in that your recency-bias has you questioning his inclusion, but when you consider just how good he is in England (lets face it, if they ever play a match against some other intergalactic best of team, it will be at Lords’) he is a worthy inclusion.

So, in short, shut up, Dean.
