ACT RSL are still waiting for the green light to run an Anzac Day march in Canberra. ACT RSL president John King said the organisation was waiting for approvals from the NCA but was hopeful the event would be approved. “Even in these difficult circumstances, NCA and other organisations involved are helping us get through that paperwork,” he said. “These people are giving us a lot of guidance and a lot of help. “Everyone’s got to meet the required standard, or they’ve got hell to pay if something goes wrong. “We’ve got to be patient.” He said people should monitor the ACT RSL and the Australian War Memorial websites for updates on the event. The Sydney Anzac Day march will be capped at 5000 people after reaching an agreement with the NSW government.
