After record-breaking rainfall hit Canberra last month, three of the region’s four dams are overflowing, with the wet weather predicted to return on Thursday. Googong Dam was the latest to spill on Wednesday at it reached 100 per cent capacity, following Cotter and Benora Dams which have been full for several weeks.
