Collingwood’s first pre-season match has gotten off to a bad start, with Steele Sidebottom and Will Kelly both injured and out of the game within the first half.
Star midfielder Sidebottom came from the field in the first term with a tight calf and sat on the bench with his tracksuit on in the second quarter.
Then, Kelly copped a knee to the shoulder from a flying Dylan Grimes in a marking contest. He came straight from the field.
Kelly dislocated his elbow on his AFL debut in round six last year and has not played since.
The Pies begin their AFL season in two weeks against the Western Bulldogs, with Taylor Adams (hamstring) and Chris Mayne (concussion) also under injury clouds.
Collingwood were trailing Richmond by 21 points mid-way through the second term.
