Queensland will ease one of its most draconian social distancing rules, just in time for the holiday season.
Nightclubs have been given the green light to welcome patrons back to the dance floor from noon Monday.
Health Minister Yvette D’Ath said the days of mosh-pits on small dance floors were over and asked people to spread across venues.
She said the one-person-per-two-square-metre rule would still apply indoors and while people from the same household and friendship group could dance together, people would need to keep their distance from strangers.
