A driver clocked at double the speed limit has been charged with damaging a police vehicle after failing to secure his own when attempting to flee. The 37-year-old man was arrested after police detected him driving at more than 120 kilometres per hour in a 60km zone in Ellenborough Street, Kaleen on Friday night. The driver stopped the silver Holden Commodore in Cossington Street, Lyneham and abandoned the vehicle, leaving on foot.
