South Florida residents awoke to chilly temperatures in the lower 40s and 50s as a cold front swept the Sunshine State on Tuesday, December 8, the National Weather Service of Miami said. The NWS said some areas could see temperatures in the upper 30s due to wind chill. Forecasters said the cold front would persist throughout the week, with the coldest mornings on Wednesday and Thursday.
