Police on Wednesday arrested a Mooloolaba man and charged him with unlawful wounding.

“This followed an incident that occurred in Palmwoods earlier that day where another man suffered facial injuries requiring hospital treatment and sutures,” Palmwoods police officer-in-charge Kevin Crowley said. “It will be alleged that a screwdriver was used as a weapon to inflict the injury.”The man is due to face Maroochydore Magistrates Court in January.
