Crowds are set to be permitted at all AFLW games this weekend – for now – with three pairs of unbeaten sides to square off in round three.
The AFL finally released a revised round three fixture on Monday, however tickets won’t go on sale until Thursday, for the round’s opener, and Friday, for the rest of the weekend games, an acknowledgment that the volatile situation with state borders could force another reshuffle.
Having beaten Carlton and Geelong in the opening two rounds, Collingwood will travel to Brisbane for a game at Hickey Park on Sunday afternoon, while Melbourne and North Melbourne, also with unblemished records thus far in 2021, will be in action at Casey Fields on Saturday night. Adelaide are set to do battle with Fremantle at Norwood on Sunday, with both sides winning their first two matches for the season.
St Kilda will duel with winless Carlton at Moorabbin in a Saturday twilight game, the Blues’ first trip to the venue in competition history.
