Two people have been taken to hospital after one person was rescued from a vehicle following a crash on Belconnen Way. Belconnen Way westbound between Gungahlin Drive and Haydon Drive has reopened following the single-vehicle collision on Tuesday afternoon. An ACT Policing spokesman said officers responded to reports of a three-vehicle collision about 1pm on Tuesday at the Belconnnen Way and Gungahlin Drive intersection. “Upon arrival, it was confirmed only one vehicle was involved,” the spokesman said. “ACT Ambulance Service paramedics attended and treated two people at the scene before transporting them to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.” ACT Fire and Rescue extricated one person from the vehicle. One person was taken to hospital in a stable condition and one with multiple injuries requiring further assessment. The police spokesman said another three-car collision occurred a short time later on Belconnen Way eastbound. One lane was closed for short time but has since reopened. Police are investigating the incident.
