A Canberra man was shocked to discover his lucky draw was hiding in his drawer. The man held one of four division-one winning entries from Saturday Lotto draw 4097 which was announced on October 24, 2020. Each division one winner earned $1,614,571.04. The man bought his ticket a Euro Garages Australia in Hume. “I’ve been playing Lotto for about 10 years, and I don’t check my tickets all the time. I only check them every three months or so,” he said. “I finally got around to checking my ticket and I couldn’t believe it. “It’s crazy to think that $1.6 million has been sitting in that drawer for months … I wish I had of checked the ticket sooner.” The man said the feeling about his surprise win was hard to describe but he had some plan for his newfound fortune.
