Police are searching for a stolen Marley Spoon van after the delivery driver was carjacked at knifepoint in Walker Street, Narrabundah in the early hours of Monday morning. A Melbourne-based company called Home Delivery Services is contracted by Marley Spoon to provide the door-to-door delivery. Marley Spoon started in Germany in August 2014 and expanded to Australia a little over a year later. It is a publicly listed company in Australia and has now spun off a second brand, Dinnerly, for cost-conscious consumers. There has been a significant rise in demand for these home-delivered food services since the COVID-19 pandemic began last year. Police are yet to provide confirmation of the details of the incident but there was a police presence in Narrabundah on Monday morning, with officers conducting interviews and attempting to find out more information. It is understood the driver was not injured during the carjacking.
