An extensive search under way near Esperance for a man swept off rocks on Wednesday afternoon would resume on Thursday morning after being suspended at 7pm.
Police were notified by a member of the public about 2.40pm who believed a person had been washed off the rocks.
The marine search and rescue operation is being conducted by Esperance Police at Salmon Beach, in West Beach, and involves two vessels from DFES marine rescue and Department of Transport, Esperance surf lifesavers on jet skis and a search helicopter.
Police said it was believed a man was unaccounted for and more information would be released once details were confirmed at the scene.
