Queensland’s Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young had flagged Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Cairns and Townsville as the first hubs, which are expected to become available towards the end of February and in early March. Dr Young was in Townsville today to brief Cabinet on the vaccine rollout across the state. She said she was confident the state government could roll out the vaccinations in a timely fashion, working within the designated federal government timelines. Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the state government was getting prepared to roll out the vaccination.
