A female nurse sustained minor leg injuries after being hit by shattered glass from the bullet hitting the window.
Police are investigating whether the shooting was gang-related and Superintendent Adam Johnson said it was “too early to say” who was behind the attack.
Police were told at least two men dressed in black got out of the vehicle near the townhouse driveway and fired several rounds of bullets.
“Auburn detectives in consulation with the State Crime Command are currently conducting a thorough investigation,” Superintendent Johnson said.
“It’s a very serious incident. This behaviour won’t be tolerated.”
