Police in the UK on February 11 released footage showing how a community support officer was dragged along by a car after a man suspected of using cannabis drove off. West Midlands Police said Officer Kieron Poole had smelled cannabis coming from a car in Smethwick on January 25 last year and asked the 18-year-old driver, Muhammad Nadeem, to turn the engine off. Bodycam video shows Nadeem driving away while Poole hangs onto the car. The officer was able to remove the keys from the ignition and Nadeem was eventually arrested after fleeing on foot. Nadeem admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm, dangerous driving and possession of an offensive weapon, police said on February 11. He was due to be sentenced at a later date.
