A kangaroo joey who was rescued in the aftermath of Australia’s devastating Black Summer bushfires, enjoyed playing with a new toy on Sunday, January 3, at Kangala Wildlife Rescue in South Australia. This video uploaded to Facebook shows Billy the joey hopping around and hugging a hanging plush toy of Tigger from the animated children’s cartoon Winnie the Pooh. Kangala Wildlife Rescue told Storyful that Billy was initially rescued in February 2020, after Australia’s destructive summer bushfires, weighing only 600 grams.
