“There’s something for everyone this year with showbags ranging in price from $2 to $30, and our show traditionalists will be pleased to see that the classic $2 Bertie Beetle bag is back for another year,” he said.
“We are so excited to be back. It’s been a tough time for the Royal Agricultural Society and show vendors. But we’re pretty resilient and determined to get it off the ground for 2021.”

This year’s show will run from April 1 to 21, with attendees required to pre-book tickets online. Last year, the show was cancelled due to the pandemic. It was the third time the show had been cancelled in its 200-year history: once during the Spanish flu pandemic and once during the Great Depression.
For showbag vendors, the green light on this year’s event is welcome news.

Bensons Trading general manager of retail Samantha Atkinson said the family-run business is working around the clock to receive stock, conduct final checks of the showbags and prepare displays.
While the last year has been difficult for the business, they’ve used it to diversify their bag offerings.
The motto for this year is “back, bigger and better,” Ms Atkinson said. “We can’t wait to launch and see the public’s reaction.”
