The houses on the 1887sq m site, which borders Queen and Pohlman streets, have been demolished to make way for the seven-storey project.A two-building design was selected to allow for greater sunlight and breezes into the area. The project will go before the council for approval in early 2021.It comes just three months after Community Housing Queensland put forward a two-storey project in Southport’s Eugaree Street. That seven-unit complex is proposed for a 586sq m site and will replace an existing two-unit house.
