A music event spiralled out of control last night when organisers asked patrons to sit down and follow rules, only to be told to “shut the f**k up”.
Shocking footage has emerged showing revellers on a Sydney boat party ignoring pleas to follow virus rules – with some even yelling: “Shut the f**k up.”
Current NSW Health coronavirus restrictions state dance floors are not permitted in the greater Sydney area, requiring people attending controlled outdoor performances to sit down and adhere to the one person per 2 square metre rule.
However, patrons aboard a luxury, three-storey boat that had DJ’s performing on Saturday night can be seen dancing and not maintaining the required distance, despite the DJ pleading with the crowd to “sit down”.
News.com.au has contacted the boat company for comment.

A video shared on Facebook Live shows revellers out of control as organisers try to get everyone sitting back in their chairs at the sold-out music event.
“I need you to sit down,” the DJ can be heard saying.
“I know it’s f**king tempting but please sit down. We don’t want to lock this s**t down.”
However, some partygoers were less than enthusiastic about the request, with one person behind the camera shouting: “Shut the f**k up. Who is going to sit down? You sit down.”
“F**king sit down, he says. We don’t sit down. We pay our taxes,” the unidentified person continues.
The rest of the crowd appear to echo a similar sentiment, continuing to dance and jump as the beat of the track drops.
At various points in the five minute clip, several women can be seen gyrating against the boat’s railings while groups of men fill aisles between chairs to fist pump the air.
The boat company has yet to comment on the footage but the website for the company states it is COVIDSafe.
Tickets for events cost between $49 – $69.
Restrictions were upped across NSW in December in response to a fresh outbreak of the virus, including mandatory face masks on public transport.
While the rules have been relaxed, dancing is still not permitted except for 20 persons in a wedding party.
