Long lines formed outside grocery stores in Texas on Thursday, February 18, as residents dealt with the fallout of ongoing snow, historically low temperatures, and widespread power outages. The National Weather Service said the “historical winter weather” continued on Thursday as snow fell across southern and central Texas. Up to three more inches of snow could fall in the San Antonio region on Thursday, on top of previous snowfall earlier in the week. Twitter user @Johnspurs1 shared this footage on Thursday of a line of people waiting to enter an H-E-B supermarket in Austin. @Johnspurs1 said he thought there were “at least 150” people waiting outside. Austin Energy said about 81,000 customers in the Austin area were without power as of 7 am on Thursday. As of Wednesday, 2.7 million houses in Texas were without power, local media reported.
