It’s the good news we need after a challenging year: Canberra kids’ beloved band The Wiggles will hit the stage in the nation’s capital next year. Two shows at the Canberra Theatre are part of the We’re All Fruit Salad Tour, celebrating 30 years of the beloved group entertaining and educating children across the country. Emma, Lachy, Simon and Anthony will be joined on stage with all their Wiggly friends – Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and their newest Wiggly Friend; Shirley Shawn the Unicorn. “The We’re All Fruit Salad Tour is a truly wonderful show and I can’t wait for our fans to experience it,” Blue Wiggle Anthony Field said. “You’ll hear all the classic songs you love plus new ones. The show will feature a variety of dance styles and performances that go with different styles of music. Children will see and hear drums, keyboards, banjo, guitars, bagpipes and lots of singing. We hope to see you there!” Tickets go on sale at 10am Tuesday December 15. The Wiggles will perform at Canberra Theatre on April 17 and 18. The tour will start in Perth on April 10 travelling across Australia before it finishes up in Melbourne on May 9.
