After the comedian announced a move home to Melbourne in November, The Big Breakfast will return on Tuesday with Greg “Marto” Martin and Margaux Parker at the helm.It’s a shift away from the traditional format of the show, with Cody taking over the comedian role from Lawrence Mooney two years ago while Ed Kavalee held the chair before him.

Meanwhile Parker took over from Robin Bailey in late 2019, marking her first breakfast radio role in the metro market. The Big Breakfast ended 2020 with a 10.6 per cent share of the audience in the final radio survey, putting them second behind Nova’s Ash, Kip, Luttsy & Susie on 13 per cent.

“Marto and Margaux have led the Big Breakfast to a really successful point, with more people tuning into the show than ever before – so to keep that momentum rolling, both return this year to present the Big Breakfast,” Triple M Brisbane content director Scott Menz said. “This year will be jam packed with the segments you know and love as well as some new friends joining the show each day and brand new competitions.“We’re confident the show will continue to build this year.”While the ratings period doesn’t begin until later this month, The Big Breakfast with Marto and Margaux will return early from 5:30am on Tuesday, beating their rivals to the punch.
