Two people have died after a helicopter crash east of Goulburn. Emergency services searched rugged bushland near Tallong after they received reports of the missing aircraft, last seen east of Marulan, about 6.45pm on December 2. Police, paramedics, Fire and Rescue NSW, the Rural Fire Service and the police’s Bomb Disposal Unit began a search of bushland and found the crash site about 12.30am on December 3. Two bodies were located near the wreckage. They have not been formally identified. Once the recovery is completed, investigators from the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) and the NSW Police Force will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
