Good morning, and welcome to today’s coronavirus updates blog. My name is Craig Butt and I will be keeping track of the latest COVID-19 news from Australia and around the world for the next eight hours or so.
Today is day five of Victoria’s “circuit breaker” lockdown, and we should find out today whether the lockdown will end at midnight tonight or whether it will be extended. Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said on Tuesday that an announcement would be made on the lockdown sometime on Wednesday, so when a time is set for the day’s press conference I will post it in the blog.
