Sky News host Paul Murray says four days of rain a couple of years ago would have been welcomed news to regional New South Wales, but now it has instead knocked the state “to the ground”.

Mr Murray shared the stories of a number of Australians facing heavy rain and severe flash flooding in outback New South Wales.

Despite the destruction of property and livelihoods, the Australian spirit of endurance has been showcased by residents.

“Many residents have experienced flash-flooding before, but nothing like this,” Mr Murray said.
