Police have arrested a 52-year-old Higgins man over allegations of money laundering and drug trafficking. In a statement issued on Tuesday morning, ACT Policing said members of its Criminal Investigations and Patrol team had executed a search warrant at the man’s house about 6.20pm on Monday. It’s there they allegedly found 400 grams of methamphetamine, traffickable quantities of cocaine, the illegal drug GHB and chemicals used to manufacture drugs. “Prohibited weapons were also found and seized as well as an amount of cash,” the statement said. The man was set to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Tuesday. Police said they would oppose bail. They urged anyone with information about the sale or manufacture of drugs to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or head to the Crime Stoppers website.
