More than a third of NSW storm-damage claims were made by residents of Sydney’s outer northern and north-west suburbs and the Sutherland and St George region.
Luke Gallagher, NRMA Insurance’s executive general manager for claims, said a combination of bushfire claims and heavier storms and hailstorms caused an overall increase in home insurance claims over the 2019-20 financial year.
